غیرملکی خبرایجنسی کی رپورٹ کے مطابق اتوار کو اترپردیش سمیت مختلف ریاستوں میں مجموعی طور پر 57 نشستوں پر انتخابات ہوئے اور شدید گرمی کے باعث درجنوں شہری ہلاک ہوگئے ہیں۔
بھارت کے کئی شہروں میں ہیٹ ویو اپنے عروج پر ہیں اور درجہ حرارت 49 ڈگری سے تجاوز کرگیا ہے۔ ادھر اترپردیش کے شہر جھانسی میں ہفتے کو درجہ حرارت 46.9 ڈگری ریکارڈ کیا گیا تھا جو محکمہ موسمیات کے مطابق ملک میں سب سے زیادہ درجہ حرارت ہے۔
بھارت کے محکمہ موسمیات کی جانب سے جاری اعداد وشمار کے مطابق مئی کا مہینہ ملک میں گرم ترین مہینہ رہا ہے۔
مشرقی ریاست اوڈیسا کے حکام نے ہیٹ ویو کی وجہ سے 9 ہلاکتوں کی تصدیق کی ہے جبکہ مزید 81 ہلاکتوں کی تصدیق کا انتظار ہے۔
