نیشنل ڈیفنس یورنیورسٹی کے زیر اہتمام25ویں نیشنل سیکیورٹی ورکشاپ کے شرکاء نے انسٹیٹیوٹ آف سٹریٹیجک سٹڈیز اینڈ ریسرچ اینالیسز(ISSRA) کے ڈی جی میجر جنرل رضا ایزد کی قیادت میں ہفتے کے روز وزیر اعلیٰ آفس 8 کلب روڈ کا دورہ کیا۔
نگران وزیرا علیٰ پنجاب کی نمائندگی کرتے ہوئے چیف سیکرٹری زاہد اختر زمان نے وفد کا استقبال کیا۔شرکاء کو صوبہ میں امن و امان، ترقیاتی منصوبوں، ای گورننس اور تعلیم و صحت سمیت مختلف شعبوں میں اصلاحات پر بریفنگ دی گئی۔وفد نے پنجاب حکومت کے صوبے کی ترقی و خوشحالی، گڈ گورننس کیلئے کئے جانیوالے اقدامات کو مثالی قرار دیا۔
اس موقع پر گفتگو کرتے ہوئے چیف سیکرٹری نے کہا کہ گزشتہ آٹھ ماہ سے صوبائی حکومت صوبے کی ترقی کے جامع ایجنڈا پر عمل پیرا ہے، ہسپتالوں کی اپ گریڈیشن، سڑکوں کی تعمیر و مرمت سمیت 43ترقیاتی منصوبوں پر ترجیحی بنیادوں پر کام جاری ہے اورنگران وزیر اعلیٰ ترجیحی منصوبوں پر پیش رفت کا ہر ہفتے باقاعدگی سے جائزہ لیتے ہیں۔ انہوں نے بتایا کہ صوبے کے مالیاتی نظم، انفارمیشن ٹیکنالوجی کے فروغ، گورننس کی بہتری کیلئے ٹھوس اقدامات کئے گئے ہیں اوربہتر معاشی پالیسی کیوجہ سے اربوں روپے کی بچت کی گئی ہے۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ کسی بھی ترقیاتی منصوبے کیلئے کمرشل قرضہ نہ لینے کی پالیسی اختیار کی گئی ہے۔
چیف سیکرٹری نے کہا کہ سرکاری محکموں کی کارکردگی بہتر بنانے کیلئے پیپر لیس ورکنگ شروع کی گئی ہے اورتعلیم، صحت، زراعت، سیاحت اور سماجی شعبے میں اصلاحات متعارف کرائی جا رہی ہیں۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ دیہات کی سطح پر بنیادی سہولیات کی فراہمی کیلئے "اب گاؤں چمکیں
گے” پروگرام شروع کیا گیا ہے۔
آئی جی پنجاب ڈاکٹر عثمان انور نے کہا کہ صوبہ میں جرائم پر قابو پانے کیلئے مربوط لائحہ عمل تیار کیا گیا ہے۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ کچہ کے علاقہ میں آپریشن کے دوران 61ہزار ایکڑ کا علاقہ کلیئر کرایا گیا ہے اور امن و امان کی بحالی کیلئے 53چیک پوسٹیں قائم کی گئی ہیں۔ انہوں نے بتایا کہ ایف آئی آر میں تاخیر کے خاتمے کیلئے مقدمات کی نوعیت کے مطابق اندراج کا دورانیہ مقرر کیا گیا ہے، تمام 735تھانوں میں مانیٹرنگ
کیلئے سی ی ٹی وی کیمرے نصب کئے گئے ہیں۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ پولیس میں خود احتسابی کے نظام کو مضبوط بنانے کیلئے پولیس کمپلینٹ اتھارٹی کے قیام کی تجویز زیر غور ہے۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ پولیس خدمت پرمراکز پر فراہم کی جانیوالی 14خدمات سے اب تک دوکروڑ افراد مستفید ہو چکے ہیں۔
